It was Sweden’s Martin Ponsiluoma who won the World Cup opener on Tuesday. Author of a 19 out of 20 in shooting and a time of 49’36”5, he was ahead of the Swiss Niklas Hartweg (+37”2) and the German David Zobel (+59”3).

After Tuesday’s individual and Thursday’s relay, the third men’s event of the season takes place this Saturday in Kontiolahti, Finland. Quentin Fillon Maillet, reigning champion, will try to recover after his 15th place in the individual.
